A premium full-grain vegetable-tanned leather produced by MB Pellami in Italy. This leather features an aniline finish with a rich, even coloration and a slightly oily surface that enhances depth and character. Firm in temper yet supple enough for precise work, it is well-suited for wallets, small goods, and structured items.
Easy to cut, skive, and burnish, it offers both workability and refinement. Available in a wide range of colours, each with a natural sheen and excellent edge-finishing potential. Its name is a tongue-in-cheek homage to Sergio Leone, legendary pioneer of cowboy (buttero) movies.
With aniline finished leathers, expect to see surface and range marks. I have included full photos of each hide to give you an idea of the range of possibility you may receive, as well as some close-ups of the finish to try and convey its appearance.
This leather is sold currently only by the panel. I intend to offer shoulders and sides split by the tannery to various common thicknesses in the future, but for this run it will be square foot panels only, sized at 8.5" x 17". Don't let the size fool you; this entire wallet was made from a single panel with pieces left over.
