My mission statement is simple.
I do not stock any leathers I would not use myself.

I have been leatherworking since 2016 starting as a hobbyist. I have done it on a serious professional level since about 2020, and full time since 2022. As you can imagine, I buy a lot of leather and I've had experiences with various distributors. This is my attempt to emulate the good and rectify the bad.
Part of the problem, as I see it, is that most of the distributors don't seem to be makers themselves. Makers have specific needs that are not immediately obvious, and I think distributors miss the mark a lot of times through sheer lack of understanding of the craft.
I've done this long enough to have a feel of what is good and what is not. I view this endeavor more as a "boutique" leather supply, catering to people who make fine goods and want good, affordable leathers that are suitable for that purpose.
Presenting the leather honestly is something I take seriously. This is why I offer a sampling of multiple photos of each color to give an impression of the range and variance between hides, and I never cherry pick or edit out defects or other things that I would want to be aware of if I were the buyer. I've been there before.
Do these things matter to you as much as they matter to me?
